Complete Ferret Food

Ferrets are natural carnivores, so an ideal diet for them would be cooked meat, bones or eggs. However, because this can be an expensive way to feed your ferret, we stock a complete ferret food with a high protein content to give them the nutrients they need.

Our ferret food is high in poultry meal, giving your ferret the high levels of protein and fat they need. Ferrets expend a huge amount of energy and will generally eat between 5-7% of their body weight every day. If your ferret is particularly active, or during periods of high energy expenditure (i.e. pregnancy) you may find they need more food, or their diet may need to be supplemented with treats of cooked meat or chicken.

Our ferret food is comprised of poultry meat meal (a minimum of 27%), wheat, fish meal, maize, poultry oil, maize gluten meal, brewers yeast, sugar beet, linseed, and extract of yucca. Ferret food is best served little and often, as ferrets have a very high metabolic rate. Where possible, ferrets should be fed small meals 6-8 times a day, but if this is not possible, you can leave the food down throughout the day so they can visit it when they choose to.
